Xpilot Analytics
Chat With Your Data. Get Reliable AI Answers.
Ask your data a question in plain language and get a reliable answer in seconds, grounded in the governed semantic models your data team already maintains. There's no SQL to write and no ticket to raise, and every answer shows how it was built.
Trusted by Teams Where Accuracy Matters
Everyone in Your Business Needs Answers Fast
The data already exists. Getting a trusted number out of it still means waiting on the right tool, the right skills, or an analyst with time to help. Xpilot Analytics puts your governed data in the hands of the sales, operations, and marketing leaders who need it, so they walk into the meeting with the answer.
Ask a Question
Ask the way you'd ask a colleague. There's no SQL to write and no ticket to raise, and suggested questions show you where to start.
Get an Answer
Get a chart, a table, or a single number, with the SQL behind it one click away in the How this was built tab.
Make the Decision
Pin the answers that matter, share them with your team, and build them into a dashboard. Every refresh re-runs the same query, so the number means the same thing next week.
How It Works
Your data team defines measures, descriptions, and relationships once in Timextender Data Integration, so you have AI-ready data before anyone asks a question. Xpilot Analytics answers from that governed semantic model, so when you ask about revenue, you get your definition of revenue, and the answer matches your reports.
It's built on the Timextender MCP Server, which gives it read-only access to that model, and there's nothing for business users to set up.
Why Teams Choose Xpilot Analytics
Answers Built on Your Definitions
Answers use the same measures, descriptions, and relationships as your reports. Joins and grain come from the model too, so questions that span several tables don't inflate the totals.
Ready for Business Users on Day One
There's nothing for business users to install or configure. Xpilot Analytics suggests what to ask, follows up in context, and declines questions that aren't about your data, so people who don't use AI every day still get answers.
Every Answer Can Be Checked
Open How this was built on any answer to see the steps and the SQL behind it, so you know where a number came from before you rely on it.
Insights You Can Verify and Re-Run
Pin an answer and Xpilot Analytics keeps the exact query. A person can mark it verified, every refresh re-runs that query on newer data, and you can share any insight by email.
Control That Stays With IT
Administrators decide which workspaces can query each MCP Server, every query is read-only and logged, and conversations stay inside their workspace.
Processed in the EU, Never Used for Training
Xpilot Analytics runs in the Timextender Data Platform on Microsoft Azure in the EU, and your data is never used to train AI models. It reaches your data through the Timextender MCP Server, which you can deploy inside your own environment and which connects out to the platform, so no inbound firewall ports need to be opened.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is Xpilot Analytics?
Xpilot Analytics is a conversational analytics experience in the Timextender Data Platform. Business users ask questions in plain language and get answers grounded in the governed semantic models their data team already maintains, the same definitions that power your dashboards and reports.
-
Is Xpilot Analytics a separate product?
No, Xpilot Analytics is part of the Timextender Data Platform and is upgraded with it, so there's nothing separate for business users to install. It answers from the semantic model your team builds in Timextender Data Integration, and an administrator connects it to your data once through the Timextender MCP Server.
-
Where is our data processed?
Timextender runs on cloud, hybrid, or on-premises environments, and Xpilot Analytics is cloud-based. When you ask a question, the query text and its results travel between your MCP Server and the Timextender Data Platform, which is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the EU. To interpret it, Xpilot Analytics sends your question, your semantic model's schema and field descriptions, and the results of queries it has already run in the same conversation to an AI service hosted by Microsoft in the EU. Your data is processed within the European Union and is never used to train AI models. Xpilot Analytics doesn't scan your warehouse in the background, and every query is read-only.
-
How does Xpilot Analytics relate to Timextender Data Integration and the MCP Server?
Xpilot Analytics and Timextender Data Integration are both part of the Timextender Data Platform. Data Integration builds and governs the semantic model, the Timextender MCP Server gives read-only access to it, and Xpilot Analytics lets business users ask it questions in plain language. All three use the same definitions.
-
Why use Xpilot Analytics for questions about our data?
Xpilot Analytics is built for governed analytics. Every answer comes from the semantic model your data team already maintains, so its answers match your reports. There's nothing for business users to configure, it suggests what they can ask, and every answer shows the SQL behind it. The answers worth keeping can be pinned, verified by a person, and collected into dashboards that re-run the same queries. IT stays in control, too: administrators choose which workspaces can query each MCP Server, every query is read-only, your data is processed on Microsoft Azure in the EU and never used to train AI models, and the MCP Server can stay behind your firewall, connecting out to the platform.
-
Can IT control who has access?
Yes. Administrators choose which workspaces can query each Timextender MCP Server, and conversations stay in their workspace. IT also controls what Xpilot Analytics can reach. It can only query the semantic models registered on your MCP Server, so tables outside those models are out of reach, and the database account the MCP Server uses has only the permissions you grant it. Every query is read-only.
-
Can Xpilot Analytics change our data?
No, every query is read-only. The MCP Server rejects anything other than a read query before it reaches your database, and we recommend connecting it with a read-only database account.
-
Can I ask Xpilot Analytics anything?
It's built for questions about the data your semantic models expose, such as sales, customers, revenue, and operations. It declines questions that aren't about your data, and it doesn't browse the web.
-
How do we get started?
Xpilot Analytics comes with the Timextender Data Platform. An administrator turns on AI features, sets up the Timextender MCP Server, and chooses which workspaces can use it. If your team already publishes a semantic model, the Xpilot Analytics setup guide puts this at about half an hour. Once AI features are on, anyone with workspace access can try it on sample data before your own data is connected. If Xpilot Analytics doesn't appear after AI features are turned on, your platform may not have the latest release yet, so contact support@timextender.com to get it sooner.
