 AARHUS, Denmark & BELLEVUE, Wash. – Aug. 8, 2022 TimeXtender has been named the winner of the Gold Stevie® Award for “Employee Relations Team of the Year” in the seventh annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers.

TimeXtender was also awarded the Silver Stevie for “Achievement in Workplace Health & Wellbeing,” a Bronze for “Achievement in Employee Engagement,” and a Bronze for “Achievement in Workplace Design.”

The Stevie Awards for Great Employers recognize the world’s best employers and the human resources professionals, teams, achievements and HR-related products and suppliers who help to create and drive great places to work.

Over the last year or so, TimeXtender’s employee relations team in coordination with the company’s Executive Circle, transformed its successful business into a fully distributed, fully remote global organization with headquarters “in the cloud,” as it seeks to set humans free to focus on life balance and output over hours. It has become a leader in remote work by taking its modernization efforts to new levels with these programs:

  • Supporting remote work by investing in enterprise technology and by offering financial assistance for home office setup: computer, WiFi, and phone. The company offers financial support for membership to co-located office workspace and maintains office space for those looking to work from a traditional setting.
  • Redesigning its culture based on organizational purpose circles to establish freedom and autonomy.  
  • Providing programs in weekly planning/prioritization inspired by Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, a moment of silence to commence meetings, and online breakfasts.   
  • Offering virtual weekly recharge sessions during the workday so the Xpeople can recharge with mindfulness, breath, body and mind exercises.
  • Hosting a new program called “Barstools” so that the Xpeople can informally socialize online as you would at a hotel bar, and “Café Karmas” where the Xpeople can socialize with work colleagues on topics such as books, recipes, current events, etc.
  • Sponsoring a new program called “InspireOn” workshops with motivational guest speakers to talk about business, productivity, well-being, and life balance.
  • Offering eligible Birth Parents/Legal Guardian up to four weeks full paid leave before expected birth/arrival of child, and 20 weeks full paid leave after birth/arrival of child.
  • Offering Xpeople unlimited paid time off used at their discretion.
  • Planting trees for each one of its partners, every time a partner closes a deal and every time TimeXtender recruits a new Xperson. To date, TimeXtender has planted 4,875 Trees -- of 500+ Native Species -- Across 30+ Countries -- and Offset 646 tons of CO2 per year. 
  • Providing a program for purchasing carbon offsets for travel using The Gold Standard. Each employee that travels in a month fills in a line on a spreadsheet that calculates carbon usage for travel and then purchases and expenses carbon offsets, and TimeXtender reimburses the purchase.
  • Four Sustainable Impact Goals: striving to be climate friendly; giving back to cities and communities; building social connections and helping with health/well-being; providing high-quality education.

TimeXtender continues to receive industry recognition for its modern-day business approach in employee relations and work culture. In fact, this is the third year in a row that TimeXtender has won a Gold Stevie Award: the others were in 2021 for “Covid Response – Most Innovative Workplace Redesign” and in 2020 for “HR Department of the Year – Employee Relations Team of the Year.”

Winners of the awards, named the Stevies from the Greek word meaning “crowned,” will be recognized during a gala awards dinner on Saturday, September 17 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Registration for the event is now open.

More than 950 nominations from organizations of all sizes in 26 nations were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of HR-related categories, including Achievement in Workplace Safety & Compliance, Employer of the Year, Chief Human Resources Officer of the Year, Human Resources Team of the Year, Employee Relations Solution Provider of the Year among others.

More than 100 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners. Winners in the Employer of the Year categories were determined by a unique blending of the ratings of the professional judges and more than 80,000 public votes. The public vote was sponsored by HiBob.
