Dynamic Data Masking

TimeXtender Tuesday - Episode 27

In this episode of TimeXtender Tuesdays, Chris Daniels will walk us through the implementation of Dynamic Data Masking (DDM). This helps to augment security measures around what your data users can see, by obscuring, or "masking", part or all of a value in your data.

A simple example of this masking is to only be able to see the last few digits of a sensitive value such as a credit card number. We'll see how to apply DDM to the Modern Data Warehouse (MDW) data, using custom scripting techniques in just a few clicks.
