Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We do not sell your information to any third party. We use the information you give us only for our communications with you, to provide products and services you have requested, and to improve our products and services for you and all our customers.

1. What information do we collect?

When you purchase products or services, register to use a website, fill out a form, or contact TimeXtender Software for products and services, TimeXtender Software collects information that identifies you. This may include your name, company name and email address.  We may also sometimes collect other information that does not identify you, such as your job title, or industry.

When you use our Sites, some information is also automatically collected, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring web site, and your activity on our Sites. If you access the Sites from a mobile device, we may also collect information about the type of mobile device you use, your device’s unique ID, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use. We treat this information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the identifying information mentioned above. Otherwise, it is used in the aggregate only.

When our products are purchased we collect information about named users in accordance with our licensing.  Named users are individuals who have licensing rights to use a TimeXtender Software software product. For named users we may collect names, email addresses, Excel user name, and Windows user name and domain.

When you activate a software product from TimeXtender Software we may collect information that identifies you in accordance with our licensing model.  This information is compared against our license information of named users for authentication.  During the activation process, information about the following may be sent to TimeXtender Software via an internet connection or by email in an encrypted format: domain or computer name, Windows ID, Excel user name, MAC address and the version of TimeXtender Software software in use on your computer.

Credit card numbers are used for payment processing only and are not retained for any other purpose. This information is typically submitted by phone or email. When submitted by email, the email is deleted immediately after the payment is processed. For recurring billings the last 4 digits of a card number may be optionally provided by a customer. No other credit card information is retained. We do not share this information with any other parties.

TimeXtender Software does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 and TimeXtender Software products and services do not target information to children under 13. TimeXtender Software is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents to take an active role in your child’s online activities and interests.

2. How do we collect the information?

In addition to the methods noted above, when you visit our website we send “cookies” to your computer and use other technologies to enhance your online experience. A “cookie” can be either permanent (i.e., it remains on your computer until you delete it) or temporary (i.e., it lasts only until you close your browser). A “cookie” is a small text file that helps us recognize repeat visitors, facilitate the visitor’s ongoing access to and use of the site, and track usage behavior and compile aggregate data that can lead to website improvements. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, you can deny or accept the cookie feature using a simple procedure available in most browsers. If you block cookies, however, you may lose some website functionality.

3. How do we use the information?

We do not sell your personal information to anyone for any purpose.

TimeXtender Software collects and uses your personal information to operate and improve its sites and services. These uses include providing you with more effective customer service; making the sites or services easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information; performing research and analysis aimed at improving our products, services and technologies.

We also use your information to help you complete a transaction or order, and to communicate with you. We may send certain mandatory service communications such as welcome letters, billing reminders, information on technical service issues, and security announcements. Additionally we may also occasionally send you product surveys or promotional mailings to inform you of other products or services available from TimeXtender Software and its affiliates, and/or share your personal information with TimeXtender Software partners so they may send you information about their products and services. You can opt-out from receiving newsletters or promotional e-mail anytime by emailing hello@timextender.com or by following the steps as described in the respective newsletter or promotional e-mail.

TimeXtender Software occasionally hires other companies (vendor) to provide limited services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, or hosting websites. Those service providers will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose than for delivering the service to TimeXtender Software in accordance with TimeXtender Software’s instructions and policies. We may access or disclose information about you, including the content of your communications, in order to: (a) comply with the law or respond to lawful requests or legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of TimeXtender Software or our customers, including the enforcement of our agreements or policies governing your use of the services; or (c) act on a good faith belief that such access or disclosure is necessary to protect the personal safety of TimeXtender Software’s employees, customers or the public. We may also disclose personal information as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or sale of assets

4. How do we protect your personal information?

TimeXtender Software takes precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used.
